02More information

Printed wraps for dental chairs

Most dental chairs look the same. For a nervous patient, the chair is often the most worrying thing in the room. A printed wrap gives the chair a bright new design.

Our dental chair wraps cover the base, armrests and back of a treatment chair. The design has bright painted flowers and swirls of colour, with sunflowers on the back and a black and white chequered base. Patients have something to look at and talk about, and they remember the practice.

What we can wrap

Wraps suit the smooth, hard surfaces of a dental chair. These are the base, the back shell and the armrests. We do not cover the padded cushions.

We can use the same printed vinyl on other furniture in the practice. This includes reception counters, desks, cabinet and cupboard fronts and display units. A chair, a counter and a feature wall can all have the same design. Outside dentistry, we have branded counters for Pick n Pay and ALDO at events. Wraps also suit salon stations, tattoo studios and shop counters.

Designs for curved surfaces

A dental chair has many curves, edges and joins. The vinyl stretches a little on the curves, and we cut it around controls and moving parts. Busy patterns that cover the whole surface work best. Examples are flowers, leaves, ocean scenes or abstract colour. A single large photo, or a logo that must stay straight, is harder to wrap well.

A children’s practice might choose animals or an underwater theme. A cosmetic practice might prefer a calm design in its brand colours. We plan the design around your chair and show it to you before we print.

How to clean a wrapped chair

Wipe the wrap with a soft cloth and your practice’s usual non-abrasive cleaners. Do not use scouring pads, scrapers or abrasive products, because they can scratch the print or make it dull. If your infection-control routine uses particular disinfectants, tell us which ones before the job starts. We will advise you on suitable films. When you want a new look, we can replace the wrap. You do not need to replace the chair.

FAQ

Dental chair & furniture wraps: questions

Have another question? Contact us or read the full FAQ.

01Can you wrap a dental chair?
Yes. Printed vinyl sticks well to the smooth, hard shells of a dental chair, such as the base, back and armrests. Our floral chairs show this. We do not cover the padded cushions. Send photos of your chair from each side and we will tell you which parts we can cover.
02How do you clean a wrapped dental chair?
Wipe the wrap with a soft cloth and your practice's usual non-abrasive cleaners. Do not use scouring pads, scrapers or abrasive products, because they can scratch the print or make it dull. If your infection-control routine uses particular disinfectants, tell us which ones. We will advise you on suitable films before we print anything.
03Why would a practice wrap its dental chairs?
It gives patients something to look at and talk about. A chair covered in flowers, an ocean scene or a jungle full of animals can help children and nervous patients feel more relaxed. A wrap also improves the look of an older chair with scuffed or discoloured shells. It makes your practice easy to remember and recommend.
04Will a wrap damage the chair?
A vinyl wrap goes over the existing surface, and you can peel it off later when you want a new look. The wrap needs a firm surface to stick to, so cracked or flaking shells must be repaired first. We will look at photos of your chair and advise you before we quote.
05Can you wrap our reception counter and cabinets to match?
Yes. We can wrap counters, desks and cabinet fronts with smooth, flat or gently curved surfaces. The same design can continue from the treatment room to reception. We have also branded counters for Pick n Pay and ALDO at events.
06Can we use the chair while you wrap it?
No. You cannot use the chair while we apply the wrap. We will agree the timing with you when we quote, so we can plan the work around your appointments.
