Signs, chair wraps and privacy glass for dental and medical practices

Prodigy Graphics makes signs and interior graphics for dental and medical practices in Cape Town. Our studio is in Plumstead. We have wrapped dental chairs in bright printed vinyl and made the halo-lit sign for Bergrivier Dental. We also print wall murals for waiting rooms, and lettering and frosted window film that give consult rooms privacy.

01What we make for you

Printing and signage for dental & medical

A sign patients can find

Patients often look for your practice from the car, and on winter afternoons it is already dark. The Bergrivier Dental sign is halo-lit, with a white glow around a black panel. The name is easy to read at night.

Printed dental chair wraps

We wrap the base, armrests and back of a dental chair in printed vinyl. One set has painted flowers, sunflowers and swirling colour. It gives children and nervous patients something to look at.

Waiting room murals

We print murals of the mountain, the sea or a forest to the size of your wall. A mural makes a plain waiting room a more pleasant place to sit.

Frosted glass for consult rooms

We put frosted window film on consult room windows, glass doors and partitions. The film lets daylight in but blurs the view. People in the passage or the street cannot see the patients inside.

Lettering on doors and glass

We cut practice names, room names and contact details from vinyl for doors and windows, in your colours and fonts.

03More information

Lit practice signs

Patients look for a practice from the street. In winter, they often do this in the dark. The sign for Bergrivier Dental is halo-lit. The lights sit behind the panel and shine onto the wall, which makes a white glow around it. The script lettering and tooth logo are easy to see, and the front of the sign is not too bright. A lit sign needs a power supply close by. This is easier to arrange before the wall is finished. See illuminated signs and light boxes for the options.

Dental chair wraps

The chair is the first thing a patient sees in the surgery. Our dental chair wraps cover the base, armrests and back in printed vinyl. The sides have bright painted flowers. The back has sunflowers and swirling colour, and the base is a black and white chequer. The bright print gives children and nervous patients something cheerful to look at. The chair underneath stays the same. The chair and furniture wraps page explains what we need for a quote.

Waiting room murals

Patients often feel nervous while they wait. A wall mural gives them something else to look at, such as a Cape Town view, the sea or a forest. We print murals to the size of the wall. Our panorama murals show Table Mountain and beach scenes that run around a whole room and along a corridor. For a smaller wall, wall graphics and lettering may suit better. Our wallpaper and murals page explains how to measure.

Frosted glass for consult rooms

Glass partitions and doors let light into a practice. Patients still want privacy. Frosted window film lets the light through and blurs the view. It can also show your logo or a pattern, like the hexagon band in our window film projects. For a consult room, we usually frost most of the pane. For a passage or reception, a band at eye level is often enough.

FAQ

Common questions

Have another question? Contact us or read the full FAQ.

01Can you wrap our existing dental chairs?
Often, yes. We apply printed vinyl over the chair's base, armrests and back, so you keep the same chair. Send us the make, the model and photos of each side. We will confirm which parts we can wrap when we quote.
02How do we clean a wrapped dental chair?
Wipe it down. Avoid strong solvents, because they can dull or lift the print over time. Tell us which disinfectants your practice uses, and we will advise you before we print anything.
03How does frosted film give privacy without making the room dark?
It spreads the light instead of blocking it. Daylight still comes through, but shapes behind the glass are blurred. You can frost the whole pane or only a band at eye level. We can also cut your logo or a pattern into the film.
04Can you put a mural in our waiting room?
Yes. Measure the wall and send us a photo of it taken straight on. Tell us what you would like to see, for example Table Mountain or a forest. We print the mural to fit the wall, and we can hang it for you.
