Window film: frosted patterns and printed film on glass

Frosted hexagons on office glass

On a set of office glass partitions, a band of frosted hexagons runs across the glass at eye level. The band does two things. It makes the glass easy to see, so nobody walks into it. It also hides the desks behind the glass and still lets the light through. The hexagons fade out towards the top and bottom of the band, so the pattern does not look heavy.

Printed frosted film

We can also print a picture on frosted film. On a set of glass folding doors, we printed tall grass stems in dark grey on the frosted film. The doors look like a screen in a garden, and light still comes through. On a large boardroom window, we printed a sailing ship and a lighthouse across the frosted film. The window shows a picture and also gives the room privacy.

Famous paintings on door panes

The most unusual job here was two wooden doors with small glass panes. We printed a Rembrandt portrait across the panes of one door. The other door has Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring. The wooden bars between the panes run across each picture like a window frame.

Frosted film gives privacy and still lets daylight in. We can cut it to any shape or print any design on it. See window film and frosting and our work for offices.
