Lanzerac: hotel and spa signs, damask wallpaper and a cork map

The hotel sign

The Lanzerac Hotel & Spa sign shows the full estate crest, with its two eagles and the motto “Clarior Hinc Honos”. Below the crest are the name, “1692” and a row of five stars. The sign is lit, so the lettering and crest stand out against the wall after dark. One of the photos shows the crest artwork printed at full size and laid out on the floor during production. A full-size print like this lets us check the size, position and detail before we cut or mount anything.

Spa, bar and reception

At the spa, the crest and “Lanzerac Spa” are in white on a black fascia above the reception desk. Timber panelling surrounds the fascia. The spa bar fronts show the crest in bright green on black, in pale timber frames. In a reception office, frosted vinyl lettering and the crest run across the glass walls. This gives the room some privacy, and light still comes through.

Wallpaper and a cork map

Blue and white damask wallpaper follows the curve of the stairwell, past brass wall lamps. The same wallpaper continues above the leather banquettes in the restaurant. The pattern stays level all the way round the curves, so it looks like part of the building. On a black wall, there is a world map laser-cut from cork. The cork adds warmth and texture. You can read more about it in our world maps project.

The signs, glass, wallpaper and cut work all use the same estate branding. See custom wallpaper, illuminated signs and laser and CNC cutting.
