Signs, trailer wraps and wall graphics for restaurants, cafes and food trucks

Prodigy Graphics makes signs, trailer wraps, menu boards and wall graphics for restaurants, cafes, food trucks and convenience stores in Cape Town. Our studio is in Plumstead. Our work includes the Love Pizza wood-fired pizzeria trailer in Noordhoek and The Fat Cactus restaurant sign. We have also branded coffee trailers and made the road-trip wall graphic in the Fresh Stop at Airport City.

01What we make for you

Printing and signage for food & beverage

Food trailer wraps

On a food trailer, the outside is your shopfront. We wrapped the Love Pizza trailer in red, with its wood-fired pizzeria branding, a printed menu and a log-pile print along the side.

Restaurant signs

The Fat Cactus sign has a colourful cactus in an arched black panel above bold lettering. People can see the restaurant's style from the street.

Menus people can read from the queue

We make menu boards, A-frames and printed menus for trailers and counters. We lay them out large and simple, so people can read them from a few metres back.

Wall graphics and murals

Our wall work includes an Amsterdam street scene behind coffee shop booths and a road trip at Fresh Stop. We have also made washroom murals with chess knights and pop art faces.

Branding for markets and events

We print teardrop flags, awning panels and branded counters for markets and events, like the Rise and Grind coffee trailer.

03More information

Trailers and food trucks

A food trailer needs to show your name, your menu and your branding in one place. The Love Pizza trailer in Noordhoek is wrapped in red with its wood-fired pizzeria branding. It has a printed menu on the side and a print of a log pile, which shows customers that the oven is wood-fired. We brand coffee trailers in the same way. Our event branding includes a navy Pick n Pay coffee trailer and a Rise and Grind trailer with branded awning panels. It also includes a coffee trailer with teardrop flags and an A-frame menu board. See vehicle and trailer branding.

When you send us your brief, photograph every side of the trailer with the hatches open and closed. People must still be able to read the menu and logo when the awning is up and customers are standing in front of the lower panels.

Restaurant signs

The Fat Cactus sign has a colourful cactus in an arched black panel over bold lettering. A restaurant sign can be fun and colourful. People must still be able to read the name from across the road. Our shopfront signs and illuminated signs pages cover the options. These include printed panels, and lit letters for restaurants that open in the evening.

Wall graphics inside

Customers see your walls before they see the menu. Our cafe wall graphics include an Amsterdam street scene behind booth seating in a coffee shop. The Fresh Stop at Airport City has a road-trip wall graphic of a green camper van on an open road. Our washroom murals include chess knights above the urinals, a cubicle of line-drawn faces and a pop art wall. A bold design works well in a small room like a washroom. See wallpaper and murals and wall graphics and decals.

Markets and events

Teardrop flags, banners and A-frame boards show people where to find you at a market. In windy places, use mesh banners, which let air through. Flags need a ground spike or a weighted base. Our banners, flags and displays page has the details. You can also ask for a quote.

FAQ

Common questions

Have another question? Contact us or read the full FAQ.

01Can you wrap a food trailer that's already in use?
Yes. Send us photos of each side, the front and the back, with measurements. Show us where the windows, hatches and vents are. We plan the design around them, so the menu and logo are not cut off when the serving hatch is open.
02Can you print our menu on the trailer?
Yes. The Love Pizza trailer has its printed menu on the side. If your prices change often, ask about a separate menu board or panel. You can replace it without changing the wrap.
03What works on restaurant washroom walls?
Bold murals and printed wallpaper. People stop and look at the walls in a washroom. Our washroom murals include chess knights above urinals, a cubicle papered in line-drawn faces and a pop art wall. Printed wallpaper suits walls away from splashes. Near basins and urinals, ask us about wipeable options.
04Can you match our branding across the sign, menus and walls?
Yes. Send us your logo and brand files, if possible as vector files. We will use the same colours and lettering on the sign, menus, trailer and interior.
