Washroom murals: chess knights, line-drawn faces and pop art
A different printed mural in every washroom: chess knights above the urinals, a line drawing of faces and two bright pop art walls.
A different mural in each washroom
Each washroom has its own mural on the back wall. The other walls and the doors are dark, so the mural is the only thing that stands out. Above the urinals, two chess knights face each other on a chequered board against black. One knight is silver and one is copper. In one cubicle, a continuous black line drawing of faces covers the wall from floor to ceiling. Another cubicle has a crowd of cartoon characters. The last one has a giant pop art face with orange sunglasses behind the toilet.
Why put a mural in a washroom
Almost every guest visits the washroom. People remember an unusual washroom and tell others about it. The back wall of a cubicle is small, so a mural there is a small job. The cubicle is narrow, so the picture fills your view.
Any washroom mural needs two things. The room needs good ventilation. The paper must also be away from direct splashes from basins and taps.
